The Training Division was established to fill a void in the field of emergency training in southern Africa and across the borders into Africa and to cater for the upliftment of both fulltime and aspirant volunteer fire fighters.

Commercial and Industrial fire fighting courses are also offered to the general public.

Together with this, Disaster Management and Emergency Evacuation Plans are devised, documented and implemented for the client.

The uniqueness of our training is that it is presented at the clients premises or if needed, at our facility in Johannesburg. The on-site training has the advantage that on- duty staff can be recalled at a moments notice and the training therefore does not interfere with operational requirements.

We supply all course literature, administration papers and equipment for the duration of training.  All that the client has to supply are the learners. Training in this manner has two unique advantages:

• Personnel are trained in a familiar environment using their own equipment as far as possible.
  
• Accommodation and traveling costs are kept to a bare minimum and the firefighters can respond at anytime during a training session, meaning that larger numbers can be trained at any one time without depleting crew capacity.

Highly qualified instructors, who are still active members of Emergency Services and regularly attend incidents, provide the training. These instructors are certified assessor moderator and are therefore competent and qualified to do the necessary moderation on all courses. We periodically send our instructors overseas for seminars and training to make sure the client receives the latest techniques and training available in the world. 

Whilst all courses offered meet and exceed the various NFPA requirements, the existing SETA accredited courses are conducted under the NQF framework leading to the required unit standard outcomes. Our provisional registration with LGWSETA is #307 which allows our clients to claim back expenditure through their relevant SETA’s.
