Crossline REACH Safety System
 |
The REACH Device is an innovative tool that will
Cross, Clip & Capture™ a floating or suspended line,
extending the reach of the rescue swimmer, kayaker
or boater. While doing everything an ordinary
throwbag does, the REACH System also allows the
user to reach out and pull in another line. Compact
enough to hold in the hand while swimming or attach
to your PFD, a swimmer or kayaker can use it to catch
a tension diagonal or shore line for self rescue. The
REACH Device (patent pending) will consistently hook onto a line with a simple toss, but is
shaped to resist snagging when pulled across a rocky river bottom. The REACH Throwbag can
be thrown overhand like a football for a more accurate toss. The zipper-gusset system makes
repacking the 2,000 lb. Spectra/polypro throwline line easy

Life Safety/ Rescue Rope
 |
Sterling revolutionized the production of
static rope with its development of the
SuperStatic™ Rope, the original 48 carrier
sheath construction (1/2"and 7/16"). This
process prolongs rope life and gives a
smoother sheath finish which reduces
friction. All Sterling Rope features DryCore
construction. In addition, HTP (High
Tenacity Polyester) has a very low
elongation of less than 1% stretch per 300
lb. load and offers the highest tensile
strength for rope in its size. HTP offers
greater resistance from UV and certain
chemicals. Nylon and HTP Static certified to
NFPA 1983, 2001 edition. Available in
Yellow w/Tracer, Red w/Tracer, White
w/Tracer, Blue w/Tracer. Ship. wt. 21 lbs.

Prusik Cords
 |
Prusik cords are integral components in
most rescue operations. Sterling prusik cord
is made to the same standards as all our
other rope products. These cords have a
good combination of suppleness and
strength and they remain round. The right
balance of suppleness is important for the
cord to “grab” the host line. Sterling cords
have higher twist levels in their sheaths and
cores. This construction gives the cords the
characteristics needed for a prusik cord;
good flexibility, knotability, and outstanding
durability.

Rescue Hauler 4:1 Pulley Device
 |
This ingenious device combines a 3" double pulley with a cam. The
rope can move in only one direction when the cam is engaged. It
allows you to raise a load by pulling on the tail end of the rope,
releasing it, and getting another grip. The cam can be released
manually by pulling on the attached cord. The cam is guaranteed
for life. There are no hidden parts to this device, facilitating minimal
maintenance and easy inspection in the field. The pulley sheaves
and body of the Rescue Hauler and matching pulley are anodized.
The Rescue Hauler accommodates rope sizes from 3/8" to 1/2".
Maximum recommended load at the cam is 2300 lbs. Minimum
break strength when in use is 12,000 lbs. When used with a
separate double pulley it gives you a 4:1 mechanical advantage.

Anderson/SMC Edge Roller
 |
The best way to reduce edge friction and protect your rope is with
Russ Anderson’s Edge Rollers. A proven performer for over 20
years, the Russ Anderson/SMC Edge Roller features an aluminum
wheel with Oilite bushings. The 6" x 10", rubber-padded base
provides plenty of stability and the 4-inch-wide wheel accepts
multiple ropes. Each unit comes with two screw-links for attaching
units together. Most situations require at least two units, and the
curvature of the edge will determine how close or far apart to
place them. The eight tie-down holes can be used to link rollers or
to anchor a safety line to them..

Ecrin-Roc Helmet
 |
The Ecrin-Roc started as a recreational climbing and
caving helmet, but with its light weight and comfort, it
soon became popular with rescuers and workers at
height. The 3-point chin strap keeps the helmet secure
and can be adjusted for a comfortable fit. Unique
headband allows adjustment even when wearing the
helmet. Built in clips hold headlamp or goggle straps
securely to the helmet. Large holes provide ventilation
and also permit sufficient drainage when the helmet is
used for water rescue. Fits head circumference from 21
to 25". ANSI Z89.1-1986 Type 2, Class C and CE EN
12492.
